Dusted an Infiniti Q50 that wanted to play.

I highly doubt he knew what he was getting himself into. I lowered my rear 315’s to 30psi cold and still spun them through 2 gear changes from 60-ish mph.

Changed out the differential fluid. 52k on the clock. Not sure if it’s been changed before. A little silver on the drain plug mag but, nothing serious. Glad I had a pump. Neither bottle came with a spout.

Installed my tire stickers. I hope that I’ll have enough time tomorrow for my oil change and front bumper install. Then on Monday I could enjoy some full picture shots of my ride completely put back together.

Didn't really DO anything to it today, but I did order my new starter.

My car has been sitting for over a week now. The 2 year old Everstart AGM battery and OEM Delco starter are on their ways out. I have been having the dreaded super slow start/Stabilitrak issue for a while now. It got to where I couldn't rely on the car starting again once the engine got up to temp due to the starter - likely death by heat soak from the headers. If I let it sit for a bit and cool then it would start, but slowly. This of course killed the battery over time. I also have 1800 watts of amplifiers and a 12 inch sub that hasn't helped things.

I already have an additional 1/0 gauge ground from the block>chassis, but am thinking about adding a few more grounds elsewhere.

Anyhow, I splurged and ordered the Powermaster 9509 - Powermaster XS Torque Starter (https://www.summitracing.com/parts/pwm-9509). Now I have to decide which direction I want to go on the battery. Any recommendations are welcome. For safety reasons, I am not considering lithium at this time.

After that, next step is possibly the 320A High Output Power Bastards Alternator. But $500 for an alternator is a tough nut to swallow, so that may be a while.

I replaced my 11 year old original battery last summer and I live in the cold north so my vote goes to OEM, it was more expensive but well worth it.

Talking

I replaced the hood and trunk lift supports, added Drake Musclecars strut tower covers, changed engine, trans and rear diff fluid and added a Dashmat. Wheels will be done next week, SS wheels powder coated satin black and then ceramic coated before installing. Will post some pics next week. Here's a shot of the strut tower covers and the old rims.

New rims done, turned out pretty nice.
