DIY Mag Ride Delete Plugs
For everyone is lookig to change to coil-overs or Air from Mag Ride, this is for you!
A few years back I changed over from my Mag Ride struts to a full Airlift 3P kit. In doing so I needed to fool the car to think that the Mag Ride struts were still there and the ones you can buy online are $300-$500 and I figured there had to be a better way. So I did some research and for $50-$75 I made my own and have been running them for 3.5 years with no issues. All info needed to make them as well as links to buy everything is included in the PDF document. Why 24” of wire? Could you make them shorter?

You can make them however long you'd like. The rear I mounted tucked up away from the elements so it needed a bit more wire. The fronts were close to the strut and could have probably been 12"or less. Either way length doesn't matter it's just the amount I used

Front Mounting location. I don't have a picture of the mounting location in the rear on hand.

I thought maybe it had to do with the wires length and resistance or something.

I see you have a 2013 ZL1. Does this work for the 2012?

I'm obviously not the OP but it should work. I've never had a reason to do it but it's pretty universal lots of people do it on Tahoes and such. Would just maybe Google mag ride delete how to.
