I just replaced mine about 4 months ago with a new OEM one, figured the original stock one lasted 11 years and my heavy MPD hood has been on there for 7 of those years, so why not..

Installed electric bypass valve on heater hoses, to hopefully save my blend door from (further) damage.

Heater core bypass.

Ok, I have had the Hurst aluminum paddle shifters for about 6-7 years now and every time I see someone installing them I like to share my experience with them with caution. One day as I was making a right turn one of the paddles got caught in my keyring and luckily no one was in the other lane as I could not turn the wheel. It actually almost broke the switchblade key which I had to replace. From that day forward I have only driven my Camaro with the switchblade only, without any other keys attached to the fob. It is something that is never mentioned when purchasing paddles from Hurst or any other makers that I know of, but it's very dangerous.Your photo even shows how close you are to the ignition. You will even notice the lack of space on the left side if you try to use the MENU button on the signal switch lever. Have fun but be aware!

Thanks for the warning and i did not like the look of the Hurst ones as bulky and these are slim and nice fit and clear of all obstacles too which is great !

A friend of mine has the Vitesse paddles and they are in the same danger. When I told him he was shocked and sure enough his keys looked much like mine with about a 1" ring attached to the fob and other various keys attached to that.We slowly spun his steering wheel and had no problem hooking his keys. You just need the perfect swing of the keys going around a corner to hook them up lol. I guess this is why GM never went that route. It's like driving with grappling hooks lol!

Been driving it to work all week since its been in the high 60s low 70s lately. Hoping to get it home before it rains tonight tho. Its funny, when I take my 2000 Yukon beater to work, its roughly a 30-35 minute drive... this morning, 17mins in the Camaro. Weird right?

Anyone who can cut off 18 minutes on his/her commute in Long Island deserves a trophy.!!
