Plugs
Okay guys, I am new here and I am new to these cars. I have always been a old muscle car guy and have never had to deal with electronics much.
I bought last year a 2011 Camaro SS. It had a Magnuson and long tube headers and exhaust on it when I bought the car. It recently picked up a miss and I tracked it down to the #1 plug threw the old-time process of temp gun and then start swapping parts. So, my first question, what would be a good plug for my application? It has AC 41-110 plugs in it that are supposed to be good for 100,000 miles and the car only has 16,725 on it so that was the last thing that I was expecting! I realize anything can fail at any time but just was curious if there was a better option out there? Next, what would be a good scanner to buy that would help me find and fix issues like this faster and easier? Thanks Kevin Green |

Amazon and Ebay have fake AC delco plugs that melt quickly causing you more headaches.
I don't buy plugs or small batteries from them anymore, fakes or expired cr@p. |

I can confirm this through experience. Amazon 'AC Delco' plugs that lasted maybe 10,000 miles before the Chinesium electrodes melted away to nothing. I only buy my plugs at the parts store now.

I personally like buying spark plugs from Rockauto, they usually have really good deals on factory spark plugs. They usually sell them in sets too.

So, I'm guessing that's why they can sell them on ebay and amazon $3 a plug instead of $11 at the parts store. |
