Front bumper connections

Previous owner bumped something with the front bumper/splitter. Not hard enough to bother anything but the bumper cover. But on the bumper cover, it broke the connecters where it screws to the quarter panels on the front of the wheel wells. I've managed to push it in and get them to hold, though not perfect alignment at the moment. The tabs are still there, just ripped edges so it doesn't hold the same way. Picture if an earring were ripped from an ear lobe. I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a better repair that will last other than replacing the whole front bumper cover.

I would also be curious of a remedy to this problem. The performance shop that did the engine work to my car was careless with my bumper and hacksawed one of the tabs so now it doesn’t stay aligned at all, especially when I air out. Drivers side pictured left is the ripped earlobe, passenger side is good…

I have seen people take self tapping screws and run through the plastic tab up into the metal tab on the fender. Not the correct way but it will hold.

I'm almost thinking to fabricate a bracket that meets with the back of the bucket for turn signal.

That's how I have mine temporarily until I get some time to pull the bumper and get it fixed a better way. Its held perfectly fine but I wanna come up with something better. Probably plastic weld some new tabs on. I have some parts to put on that require the bumper coming off so might as well do it all at once.
