Just for others who have not gone: Long Pants, closed toe shoes, no tanktops or shorts and the BIGGIE....... Snell 2000 or higher approved helmet required for cars running 13.99 and under.
Traction control off, 1000rpm launch, around h2o box and short burn-out, let the trans do the shifting. My reaction time was way slow & a little bit of wheel spin. Car/Engine: 2SS w/L99 Top Ten Class: Bolt-Ons *without* Internal Engine Modifications Tires used on the pass: Stock Pirelli ZR20 Summer Tires Performance Mods (if any): Roto-fab CAI, Corsa Cat-back exh., BMR trailing arms R/T: 1.148 Sucked 60': 2.051 330': 5.736 660': 8.705 660’ mph: 89.51mph Name/Location of the track: Toyota Dragstrip, Irwindale, CA Date of pass: 11/13/2009 Weather conditions: 72 degrees, sunny, slight breeze Got mixed with post and edited my original 1/4 mile post from earlier! Oops, this true 1/8 mile run later was better.

Don't know if I need to post a slip here to be considered for the 1/8th mile list. I posted my time slip in the 1/4 mile thread , but thought you might like to have the info here as well.
1/8th time was 8.653 @ 82.54 for stock camaro on stock wheels L99 |

Too damn hot to go to the track around here....it got up to 88 degrees yesterday and the humidity was so thick you could cut it with a knife. It's the end of October for crying out loud!!!!!!! LOL

Is there any reason you've asked LS3 owners not to post on this thread, since the L99 have the fastest times?

See the first post for details on the information you need to post, to be included in one of the Top Ten lists.
Quote:
It's because the LS3 and L99 are not equal comparisons. You can do a lot more to an LS3, in terms of internal engine modifications, etc., that you cannot to an L99 without actually turning the L99 into an LS3.

As I understand things, there's a bit more... like the camshaft, which is a baby shaft in the L99 and not swappable with other cam's, without taking of the AFM and changing out some goodies.

Because the intent is to figure out if there was a problem with L99s in general or just certain cars. LS3s were not showing the same poor results that people were complaining about if I remember correctly.

Yes, you remember correctly... that was the original intent. Since that time, the thread has somewhat morphed though... that said, it's still L99 specific, for what I believe is good reason.

Nice slips. Please edit your post to the format requested in Post #1. Then I'll be able to update the appropriate Top Ten list.
