Interesting. I only put 5k miles on my car last year, and the Oil Life Indicator was around 30% if I recall. Maybe you're right about the 6th Gen program including age in addition to mileage.

Same. My wife can't stand riding with me. I creep through town for the first few minutes, then drive like a madman once I hit the highway. I tell her it's good for the engine. She tells me she's never riding with me ever again.

I've had average 100% -> 0% about 8500 miles.

Well, just like your tuner can program everything else in the ecm, this can probably be changed as well......although I don't know why anyone would do that.
