I use a reputable car wash that's bonded and insured. It isn't laser guided it's the old style tracks and I haven't had a single problem rims and paint are still showroom condition. They also regularly wash a ZL1 with no problems. I talked with them before they did the first wash they assured me if any damage occurred they would fix it.
Noticed your location is Brandon FL. What car wash in Brandon FL is this? I live in the area and was looking for a place that I could get a quick clean between handwashes.

I'll look at the paperwork to see what damage is covered for the rim. Not sure when you purchased the car, but I think you have several weeks to still get the warranty.
I didn't know that was an option

Agree with the point that there are car washes that can be used. Find the right one, and nothing touches your car and no tracks to drive in. Touchless works well in most situations, then touch up at home with detailing products, it reduces swirls in your paint.
In my town we had water restrictions all summer due to the heat, so no driveway washes allowed.

same thing happen to me. I was heading out on a nice day and my car looked pretty bad. So I pulled into a motor city car wash. Didn't realize they drive the car onto a chain system that pulls it through the wash. Saw the damage after all was said n done. Wasn't nearly as bad as yours, but set me back 50$ to repair it. Lesson learned

I live close to a modern laser guided touchless wash. It does a great job if you are only washing off dust, etc. But if I have been through rain or if the car has any amount of dirt at all, its bucket and hose time.
Seriously though if you find the right modern car wash without tracks they do a really good job. Only water and soap touch the car.

Note sure if anyone said this yet, but when new there was a tag on the shifter of my LE, ZL1 and Z/28 that stated hand wash only. If you got a car used likely it was long gone, and who reads the owners manual cover to cover.

Just a life lesson.

Have you scene some of the new Cobbelstone car washes. No more rollers. Just pegs that push car through. Impossible to scratch rims.
