Cut door key from VIN - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Bought a salvage car from the insurance auction and it did not come with keys. Who could cut a door key from the VIN so I can lock/unlock the doors and unlock the steering column to move the car around? Local dealer won't touch it without a title in my name, can't get a title until state inspected since I just have a salvage inspection. Car was a stripped theft recovery.

Only people that I know of that can make or order keys by using the vin is a dealer but only shady dealers would do it without registration or proof of ownership.

Other than that, your only other option would be to get a locksmith out to the car and have them make a mold and cut one.
