thanks man i live like 30 mins from sugarland! i'll be there Friday after noon... i called the dealership and the lady said that we will be able to get close to it and maybe sit in it... and look under the hood a course! and she said there will be drawing for several prizes .. and she said the people from GM will be there to release the prices and specs... yea i said prices! they will give out brochures about the car at full info on the 2010 CAMARO!!!

I doubt they will be giving out prices on the car....maybe the preliminary prices that have been released on the accessories or something. I though it was last weekend, but I got an invitation in the mail yesterday. I'll probably go by and check it out.

the weekend of September 26, 27 and 28th, I believe we will be able to see the new Camaro at the Texas State Fair for their usual f-body weekend... I'll post more details as they become concrete, but its pretty common for there to be at least one Concept on display for the f-body weekend.

Yeah, I heard about that. This one sin't much better. They have security gates at each entrance to the main lot. I've heard of people trying to leave before the salesman was done with them and the security guard not raising the arm to let them out. I also heard a couple of people running through it. I stopped by there one day to see if they had a certain new vehicle on the showroom floor one day and as I made the turn to go in front of the showroom 5 salesmen came running out and surrounded my truck and one of them was yanking on the passenger door trying to get in. I just dumped the clutch and got out of there. Now when I go, I park in the church parking lot next door and walk in. They are one of those dealers that puts a bunch of cheap add-ons on most of the cars on the lot and add 15k-17k to the MSRP. Then when crunch time comes they advertise $15K OF MSRP! THIS WEEKEND ONLY! and idiots come running out of the woodwork to grab the deal of a lifetime.

Just remember...its the movie car, not the same thing as a concept, so the only thing it has in common with the production car is the general body shape.

Crazy Stuff!

1. Changing the price of the vehicle after the purchase all of a sudden the customer receives the payment book and it's $50 more a month then they agreed on the papers.

2. Selling a vehicle to one person, then having someone offer a higher price to buy the vehicle and they send someone over to sneak in and take the vehicle back from the original purchaser. This one was a biggie and was all over the news.

3. I saw a guy driving around in a pickup with the back window tinted to say "Bill Heard Screwed me on this truck. Ask me how."

4. I saw another guy picketing out front of their dealership with a sign saying they'd screwed him and not to buy there.

5. Undercover news story was done showing the high pressure absolutely horrendous sales practices trying to bully customers into buying something they didn't want. This aired on the 6 o'clock news and two weeks later Bill Heard closed in TN.

This was all about 2 years ago if memory serves.

Just got back from Bill Heard. The car they have is the still shot car from the movie. No motor and fake interior...doors don't even open. I got a few pictures and 8 new pages of info.
