C8 Corvette Z06 LT6

Z06 back to NA V8. What you guys think of LT6? Compared to our LS7?

Medias are getting their hands on it.

Pretty amazing car especially with the Z07 package. Have been watching the videos today. High reving high Horsepower. Truly hit supercar status with this one. One thing i did notice is that the car uses the same size Brembo Carbon Ceramic Discs/brakes front and back as the Z/28.

Comparing LS7 to LT6 is apples and oranges.
I’d say compare LT6 to Voodoo is more comparable since they are both flat cranks.
But they are all N/A

If I'm not mistaken, Z28 brakes are from C7. Interesting to see it carried over to C8.

Too bad the execs at gm have their collective craniums in their collective colons and won't put that LT6 into a 6th Gen ZL 1LE type of vehicle. No A/C, no sound deadening and minimal frills. Dodge Challenger goes out with a tire smoking BANG, Camaro goes out with a virtue signaling whimper. Pathetic.

The street prices will be what's ridiculous. With a used 3LT Z51 C8 going for around $120k, the street price for a Z06 w/o Z07 will probably be closer to $180k.

Starting MSRP on the Z06 is $105k.

5.5L vs 7.0L

But it has 4 camshafts to the LS7's one ...like SIM Ghost said the 5.2L Voodoo is a better comparison.

This car is on another level from a Huracan.

This is will be GT3RS competition. Huracan has the lambo badge and I don't think at this point that'll mean next to a C8 Z06. Maybe 10 years ago, sure. Now is a different ball game.

Huracan are selling for far north of $200k and have a fraction of the performance offered by the C8Z.

And more than likely just a fraction of the Vettes reliability

Speaking as a European I think its going to be very popular over here.
If you want a fast, relatively affordable car that can do a few trackdays here its McLarens, GT3/GT4 Porsches, M2s and M4s, Exiges - Huracans are more of a car to be seen in if you know what I mean

Flat plane V8, 670hp NA, mid-engined, mag dampers and 3800lb sounds very interesting and will definitely shut up the "only good in straight lines" haters and the price in the USA is the same as we pay for an M4 here ......... Im definitely keeping an eye out for one, they sound like the GT3 competitor it should always have been

Stock Z28 was the bargain of the decade. It's still cheaper now. It was faster than TurboS/GTR Track Ed. Plus, quicker than GT3RS on the track tested by Chris. Those cars were over 100k.

But I think Z28 is still the most focused-hardcore track car compared to Z06. Basically, a bare-bone NA V8 race car. I do not think GM will make this type of car again. Not many people are willing to put up with the Z. Are we crazy?
