Right?? I was pricing replacements for the white SS. Went from $290 to $450 in about a year and a half. UGH.

Nah there's no drone to the axleback on my stock setup. Just sounds better and a touch louder.

Thanks. So no drone to worry about on the freeway? Good to know

The guy said he had never seen one that looked like that and the gal said something about aftermarket graphics (not so).

I took that moment to turn and introduce myself and tell them a little about the car - why it was a CE, the rarity and the options. They were Camaro people, albeit, they owned older cars (a 3rd Gen and a 4th Gen).

It was a great chat and they asked if they could take a pic or two.

I don't get out much so it's always nice to meet like minded folks out there.

In 2015, Chevy made a limited number of "Commemorative Edition" Camaros to commemorate the 5th year in a row that the Camaro was the leader in muscle car sales over Ford and Mopar.

There were 353 SS/RS convertible CEs made and of those, to date, I have only been able to track down 4 of them with a 6 speed, manual transmission. Three here in the US and one in Canada. I have one of those four. (And on a side note, mine is the only one of the four that has the factory, short throw shifter.)

The CEs came with all kinds of goodies, front spoiler, ZL1 rear spoiler, special badging and door sill plates, adrenalin red leather interior, flat bottom steering wheel, special stripe, etc.

All the SS cars came with the maxed-out, 2SS trim and all were RS optioned. Pretty special automobiles in the Camaro world. I was very lucky to find it.

OMG, that is insane. June 2021 I paid like $383 a piece for my Conti's in 315/35/20. I can't imagine what they are now.
Edit: Just checked...they are $473.99 now. Holy crap.

LOL - The Sumitomos for my base Lancer went DOWN $4....us cool car guys are getting the shaft!

I just spent 2700 for 5 35x12.50X20’s for my ‘22 silverado company truck. Wasn’t that long ago they were 1500 for the set of 4. I’m dreading putting tires on the Camaro right now. Election Day is an upon us, hope maybe some of this shit can start to change for the better soon.

Today I started laying out the spoiler stripes for my GM dovetail. I didn’t have enough time to start applying them(I don’t do vinyl applications in a hurry for obvious reasons) hopefully Monday or Tuesday I’ll have time to apply them.

I'll definitely shop around when the time comes, but I do like the Cooper run-flats that are on it. Great tire. The tires on my 15 however, look like some sort of "brand-X" thing called "Nitto Motivo". Will have to do some research on those, one of these days.

Looks great Sir. Spending time with friends, while working on Camaros. Doesn’t get better than that

drinking home brew doesn't hurt either...well, it does, when the glass seemingly never empties.

it was indeed a beautiful day in Michigan today. Wife and I took it out for a stroll, went out and around the thumb area. Always fun on the country roads with not a lot of traffic

+1
90% of our driving is exactly this. Looks like maybe another week and the temps will be in the 30’s. Those kind of temps bring about snow….and salt/brine…and then we are done. Oh well. Enjoyed every minute of it!
