My step father worked in Everett and lived in Snohomish. I liked that area when I would visit. It's nice, met a lot of nice people and had pretty decent neighborhoods. Good schools from what my mom told me. Perhaps that's a place to look if you're still looking?

I live in Burlington which is about 30-45 min (depending on traffic) north of Everett. It's a really nice area with plenty of shopping and just close enough to the Seattle area (airport) for me. Our neighboring town, Mount Vernon, is also a really nice area. I know they are on the upper edge of your commuting limit but take a look. There are tons of houses for sale right now, including the houses on either side of mine (I guess they don't like me ).

I just moved to WA in June so I'm fairly new to the area. Tons of great people though, and tons of great Camaro owners as well. Welcome!

I think that would be to far for him to travel since hes Military hes got to look forward to that communte every day, not something worth wild to do during the winter months.

Mukilteo is a great place to live. It is close to everything and has quiet or busy parts depending upon where you want to live. Housing to buy or rent can be on the high side but it is a place I love and currently live there.

Well im not to worried about the price being on the High side.... Its worth it to be in a nice safe area for the wifey! So it has quiet and busy areas.... Is there a distinctive way to know whats what? Like north side is quiet...etc etc

Thanks for the info! I appreciate it

Noisy is any house or apartment that is in see distance of the Speedway. The speedway is the main road through and to Mukilteo. Old Town is good, water views. Harbor Pointe area nice very woodsy close to golf course. Picnic Point is older nice to very new nice homes and neighborhoods.

Mukilteo is a nice place. Watch out for that ferry traffic. Have you looked at Granite Falls. It seems like a nice place. Small town though. If you want shopping malls not so good. Closer to the mountains. Quiet. Also check out Camano Island and Stanwood. They might be within striking distance for a decent commute.

If you want to stay under an hour for a commute you don't want to live any farther than Marysville which is north of Everett. But that then again depends upon time of day you are going back and forth to work. Bothell - MillCreek both nice areas going to Everett to work is reverse commute wouldn't be bad at all.
