Good afternoon, could someone advise me?
My car doesn't go 0-60 its prescribed 4.8 or even close to it. According to Race Logic measurements, the best acceleration is 6.5 and can rise up to 7.7. It was checked at all modes, ESP/TCS enabled or disabled, D or M. Fuel is AKI 91 / 93 RON. As I can see on the youtube, it's very common problem that 3.6 and 6.2 has equal acceleration times. What did I do recently but with no results: -Replaced TCM and all frictions in the transmission, updated engine/transmission firmware; -Torque Converter was disassembled for inspection and found OK; -Throttle assy removed and cleaned; -Fuel nozzles removed and cleaned using the frequency generator in a bath filled with nozzle cleaner; -Replaced spark plugs (AUTOLITE APP5243) and reduced gap to 0.9mm (this gap helps to reduce shaking on idle but didn't eliminate problem); -Replaced ignition cables; -All ignition system and coils were checked with oscilloscope , found OK; -Catalytic converters removed and firmware rewrited to the Euro 2 (no-cat); -Rear main differential was rebuilded with Richmond Rebuild Kit and AcDelco Pinion Kit; Performed full ECU diagnostics. -Fuel and air systems were found in excellent condition: fuel pressure, long-term and short-term corrections, and etc; -Found misfiring, the nature of which I can not explain. Perhaps a bad timing chain, please tell me your opinion. So, no check engine light is illuminated but diagnostics show permanent engine misfires; -Also there is noticeable shaking at idle with no change in the tachometer reading. -In another diagnostic mode was found error, unfortunately I did not remember its code, but the specialist said that this was an error of the VVT Sprocket and the timing chain. Do you have any thoughts on this? Will replacing the all timing components help restore acceleration? ![]()

Try pulling your #5 and #20 fuses from the fuse box under the hood, if it is a V8 car, leave them out for a few hours, reinstall them. It will reset the fuel trims back to the original high octane tables. Maybe some how it got changed. This usually will do the trick. Good luck..
