Question for the drag experts

I currently have 20x9.5 fronts and 20x11 rears running a 275/40-20 and 315/35-20 set up. I just got a major steal for a set of 18x11 drag set up with a 325/35-18 Mickey Thompson Street E/T’s, never used. I checked a tire calculator and it says it’s within the 6-7% “acceptable diameter discrepancy” at -5.9%, but would it cause me issues? I’m hoping to just use it for passes at the track (1/4) on a prepped surface, although part of me want to try to use them on a Friday night street hang out in “Mexico”. Thoughts?

Thanks everyone.

Only way to know for sure is to try them and see if it throws the tire size code , probley won't but dont know tell you try the 27" rears with the 29.8" fronts , tire pressure and how wide the rim could help or hurt with the % difference

Might have to go to a diffrent front size , 275 35 20 is 27.6"

I’m guessing you know where “Mexico” is. Probably one nearby to your place.

I’ll see what happens. Probably won’t get driven for awhile. Too cold.

If I do that front though it’ll throw off the tires I have now on the rear. I was hoping for a simple rear swap at the track.

305 45 18 would be ideal with 29ish" fronts , size i have been running

Thank you for sharing that. I’ve been playing around with the tire calculator. I might need to stay with a 20” front with the oversized rotors I have.

275 40 20 states 28.7" on average. The MTs state 27". Imo, that's a lot of difference for the wheel speed/abs sensors. Good chance it will set off the Stabilitrak light. TPMS light will also be on. 2010's will program with air pressure difference, 2013 use a tool iirc.

This is the way I’m thinking I’ll go and use for just track, keeping my current set up for street and road course.

That’s question for the pedestrian killing experts. Although that title is rapidly being taken from them by Mopar drivers.
