More wanting torque than Hp. Any recommendations?
HP is sweet, but I like the throw your head back torque better. What can I do to improve the torque on my 13 Camaro V6? It is currently in bone stock configuration. Thanks ahead of time for any assistance!

That’s a big ask. I have a 2011 LLT with overkill s/c, catless, Corsa exhaust, meth, and 1LE diff/axles. I still wish I had more torque. That said, the 3.91 gears really help get the car into its power zone quicker. I thought about doing a wastegate on the s/c but opted not to. That would allow a smaller propeller to increase torque at the cost of small Hp gains and possibly higher IATs. I just enjoy the car as is. For reference, my 0-60 time is 4.4 sec. Not bad for a 217 cubic inch motor!

A lot of us v6 guys have asked this question in the past, and the most common response is for us to buy a v8. Sounds funny at first, but it is legit when you consider the limited return on investment for trying to upgrade our 6-banger as opposed to putting that money down on an 8-cylinder. Try crunching the numbers and kick the idea around a bit.

And if your LS is an auto your not getting gears either. Been looking for awhile and the 3.55s are out of production.
If your manual you've got it made tho.

Good catch xstuntman. OP has 2.92 gear ratio or something wacky low. He can still replace the entire diff, though I’m not sure I’d go through the effort for 3.27 gears. Finding a cheap SS LSD case and swapping in 3:91 gears could be cool, but not cheap once the gear labor is factored in.

Tune
Most cost effective way to get what you want. I recommend going on the Tracy Lewis Performance website and contacting Tracy through there. He can coordinate getting what you need to have Will tune your car remotely. You can also seek out a local tuner, but find an expert in direct injection tuning like Will. I agree with 3.91 gears, but that is quite the job for your setup. Not impossible or difficult really, but the parts are heavy so would help to have at least one other person with you if you plan to do it yourself. Other ideas for better torque/ responsiveness that I've tried and noticed improvements with: 1) Jacfab Extendolater: http://www.jacfab.net/The-Extendolat...acer_p_13.html 2) Ported throttle body 3) Cold air intake Keep in mind, the above will not be a night and day difference, but will give you noticeable improvements. If you want a night and day difference, ask Tracy about a supercharger kit. No regrets running their stage 2 kit and E85, very fun. I also haven't run into others with this setup at car shows so you get a lot of questions and interest. Can also sell the kit when you're ready to sell the car.

So he used to have a good rep around here years ago now not so much. Search and read posts about non responsiveness. Avoid the headache i experienced and find another tuner and parts site. Try Trifecta Performance and Soler Engineering for TB's. Good luck to ya.

With out doubt going to a v8 car is the best solution. A stock v8 car is going to beat up even the heaviest modded v6 car. Its also a bunch cheaper. I have both and have to say the v6 car is fun to drive but the v8 car is on a entirely different level of feel and performance. Just the torque alone of the v8 makes it so much more fun to drive.
