Yep. I saw one get down to $39K but with 16K miles. I regret to this day, not making that happen.

Not with the information I found. 310 was what it had. Even the aftermarket SLP only had 325. The T/A Firehawk with ram air had 335 however.

It was in Oklahoma. It was silver but I don’t remember now what number it was. They sold it the day I was leaving to go get it, after I had told them I was coming. They even so kindly refunded my deposit, very nice of them. Oh well. It is what it is.

Every SS Camaro was a SLP car as was a Ram Air T/A in 2002. The base SS was 325hp, the 2002 Commemorative LE SS could be had with 345 hp.

They actually make 350-360 for the regular 2002 SS, they made 310 ish wheel with a 6 speed.

310+15%=356

I was just getting ready to say I thought I remembered that all of LS1 cars made approximately 350 but GM claimed lower numbers because they didn’t want the engines to be on the same level (on paper) as those in the LS1 C5 Vette.

It's not too often that I see Camaros around my area but when I do, I'd say 70% of the time it's a 6th Gen with the other 30% going to Gen 5. With plans to get a '10-13 SS soon, I'll fiercely be clinging to this generation until I'm old and decrepit.

What source did you use for documentation?

Since I bought the car last spring, I have put literally hundreds of hours into researching these cars on the web, looking for owners' cars, cars for sale, posting in forums, writing dealerships for more info in the US and Canada, who happen to show one of these cars on their lots, connecting with buyers through some of these dealerships, etc. I've even had a few email conversations with a couple Hagerty writers, and a Barrett-Jackson auction specialist among others.

It's an ongoing project which is why I qualified my numbers up there with the words, "so far".

I spend between 1-2 hours a night 3 or 4 nights a week doing this and have been at it almost without interruption since I bought the car.

Call it a hobby...grin...

I hadn’t really thought about it until reading this post, but I also don’t see many of the 5th gens. I’ve always liked the look better for some reason. My inferno orange SS frequently gets attention out there.
