Dude, you are being the most closed-minded person here. everyone except you has accepted the fact that this was done to save head room. The type of sunroof that you want would have taken a good inch or more out of the head room, making it extremely uncomfortable for people over 6 ft like me (6'2"). Yay it looks odd for a Camaro to have a Webesto sunroof, but it is the only plausible way to do it, in a way that is comfortable. GM is trying to sell this car to EVERYBODY, not just to enthusiasts. Get a 'vert if you are going to complain about the sunroof, and let it go.

Sry for the rant.

Wow...and I was actually considering a sunroof. It doesn't look bad, but it doesn't look good either.. The one on the Pontiac G6 with fold-able panels (panoramic roof) that stick up would LOOK a lot better than this in my opinion and not affect 6 foot tall people...Plus the sunroof would be bigger in general so it would feel more like a t-top..

You just better be careful, you may end up in a trunk somewhere in the Nevada desert and if you escape as some big lizards dessert. Have you seen the pic of the Father and the Escalades?

I don't want a 'vert because it costs too much more and I can't justify having one living in the Northeast like I do. Plus as mentioned above, the side curtain air bags are not on the 'vert. Also, there's less rollover and head protection in a collision, so I'd rather have a roof of some sort.

Also, being "closed minded" is more along the lines of resigning yourself to believe whatever you are told is a fact and not exploring alternatives.

I bet you would have told Galileo that the Earth was the center of the universe and to stop looking at the sky with his telescope because everything he needs to know is in a couple of books.

Me? Closed Minded? Hardly. You can call me Skeptical, if anything.

It's one thing to accept something as fact and not explore alternatives but it entirely different when you have 10 posts in a 5 page thread saying you don't like it. Post that you don't like it once in a thread and quit replying to the thread. You made your position known and we got it. No need to keep bitchin' about something that you don't like.

Maybe I can get a Convertible with a built in sunroof so I don't have to put the top down!!!!

Sorry I couldn't resist!

Now that would be something Reverse Mohawk for me at this point however I will give this a chance as I love sunroof's in general as an alternative to convertibles. When I see it in person, I may change my mind once again.

When people tell me their opinions supersede my opinions then I'm going to respond.

I'm not forcing you to read my posts. People I don't want to read I simply ignore. Some forum software has an "ignore" feature that can be set up as well.

I get the impression that people who complain about me are simply frustrated by the fact that they utterly fail to beat me into submission. When their arguments are defeated by logic and they have nothing more to use as a weapon they resort to complaining that I'm annoying them .

Now see, this is the kind of post I appreciate. Thank you for pointing this out. This forum's software supports this feature.

They could have opened it in small slats that stack like a G6. But that still sticks up.

Or they could have used a folding cloth arrangement like a Citroen 2CV. On second thought, no. No French inspired parts on my car thankyou.

Admit it, your predjudice is based on the fact that this type of sunroof first widely appeared on the Civic CRX.

BTW: my wife's PT-GT's moonroof goes into the roof. For the first couple of years PT cruisers went all the way in. Chrysler had to alter it because of buffeting and her's stops about six inches short of being concealed.

I could drive my Integra with the windows up and the moonroof that extended back over the hatch wide open. It would be dead calm inside the car. No buffeting.

Well, you don't 'piss me off', but the fact that you have to comment on something you don't like over and over and over and over just get's old.

You don't like something? Ok, that's cool. You're more than welcome to your opinion. But there's no need to insert the complaints in nearly every comment you make. We KNOW you don't like certain elements already.

I'm far from closed minded, I just find the constant repeating of complaints to be a bit juvenile.

Actually, being 'closed minded' means you can't accept anything other than what YOU (figurative you) believe is truth/fact.

I have met/run into MANY closed minded people in my life. I tend to clash with them over a number of issues. Most of them political. LOL

'Resigning yourself to believe whatever you are told is a fact and not exploring alternatives' sounds more like a definition of gulible or impressionable imo.
