Would You Buy a Camaro Version?

Commercially viable hydrogen powered cars have come a long ways, further than I had previously thought. However, it appears they have quite a ways to go yet.

I had no idea there were actual hydrogen fueling stations available now. Apparently California has 60 of them.

No. CA has been subsidizing those stations and that's the only reason they exist. Hydrogen has been the next big thing since at least the '90s. It's not economically viable for nations with reasonable oil deposits. Remember hydrogen is just a battery in gas form, it doesn't create energy but only stores it.

Oh yeah, I assumed there was some subsidization going on. Virtually every industry in every state gets them. But yeah, I agree, for now, oil is king.

Hydrogen is the way to go but its not going to happens because hydrogen is EVERY WHERE. No way to rip the guts out people wallets with it.

The cost will come in the handling and containment of it. Hydrogen doesn't actually exist in a free state except in trace amounts in the earth's crust, the atmosphere and sun - it has to be extracted from something like water and compressed to be useable. There will be costs involved in the delivery to consumers.
