Side exhaust

10 SS, LTH, cammed, catless, no mufflers

So i pulled the trigger on the side exhaust.

Sound is amazing!

This is not my everyday car and i live in SC no emissions here. I understand its not for everybody and thats fine. But i love mines. I do feel a bit more torque after the change. The setup is not complete. i have some bowtie exhaust tips that will go on soon.

Boy there’s a lot going on with that one there… not a fan of that car over all but I can see where side exhaust if done right could be bad ass.

Interesting.
Here you have to run the exhaust to the back if it's got rear passenger seats like cars or SUVs but popular with single cab trucks.
You for see any clearance issues when driving?

Have no clearance issues. Muffler shop did a great job of fabbing it. Im not lowered either so i guess keep that in mind. But overall im pleased with the result. Mines is not like blue one you cant see my piping from the side all you can see is the actual opening of the pipe. Can feel the weight reduction. I want to go as far as saying the handling us little better as well. Cant wait till its complete

From the title I was expecting to see sidepipe headers like on a 60's Era vette or the likes !

I remember when this car was built. The whole Keith Stone Keystone Light series was annoying, IMO, but I remember when this exhaust was made. I don't think I've ever seen one in the wild, but I think Stainless Works made it.

You can see the piping behind the rear wheel so it seems like they ran the pipe from the mufflers to there correct? If so that would add weight not reduce it. But even if they did straight pipe it from the X pipe, you only lost maybe 10 lbs per side. You won't feel that little amount nor will it effect the cars handling.

Now my question is what are you doing to prevent it from melting the side skirts? The bottom piece of the rear fascia is made of a different kind of plastic that will better withstand the high heat from the exhaust pipe not to mention a lot thicker. The side skirts are thin and will not be able to withstand the heat given off with them being within a couple inches of the pipe.
