Find a GOOD shop don't worry about the price they charge-you have wasted thousands
of dollars for no reason. You don't need a tune just a competent mechanic.

I already paid the shop so at this point they still have it to repair the gas leak so after the fuel pressure sensor replacement these repairs and replacements have been on them.

Although I'm still awaiting the vehicle to be finished.

I'm going to call them tomorrow cause they had it for a while.

I got an appointment scheduled at an actual legit reputable shop with the longest history and good reputation on April17th for them to tell me what is actually causing this random at times... cold start misfire usually but not always & not always limited to cold and or wet conditions most often but sometimes in fairly warmer weather also because that's still a thing being what I was mostly wanting to have resolved all along.

I bet its something small and cheap and stupid all along and it will be interesting to know.

I'm floating around 7k in all this so far brand new everything lol I even bought brand new Brembo rotors and brake pads cause the Chevy dealership in the past when I had them do the brakes put some cheap rotors on the car and that never sat right with me so new Brembo rotors and pads all around when I get the car back from its eternal repair of the gas leak.

Hell at this point I'm ready to put in a whole brand new engine although that shouldn't be necessary as much as I have babied that motor and regularly performed the oil changes but I need the damn thing reliable and running good again.

I'm not gonna let it fall apart on me like I made the mistake of letting my 98 V6 camaro do at around the same amount of mileage.

I mean if I just really have to I'll get rid of it but I think we can maybe get it going again.

A part of me lately has also felt like destroying this car entirely

I missed some of the post in this thread. It wouldn't surprise me if the "OEM" injectors aren't fake. The random startup issues sounds a lot like what you see on HP Tuners forum from people that have installed crappy injectors or injectors that don't have full data entered in a tune. Even if they installed good GM injectors but they were not the original specs, it could cause these problems.

I had the cold start misfire issue before the injectors were replaced and still after.

The the shop installed all OEM parts. After they replaced the injectors the car stopped misfiring while I was driving it which was also a big issue for me and is the only part of this that was thankfully resolved so far.

Now its just still with the still very annoying cold start misfire issue now its back to cylinder 6.

Today it started up fine and I backed it out the garage and shut it off and go to start it like 5 minutes later and starts up with the misfire. I turn it off and wait about 5 minutes and it starts right up without any issues and drove and started up and after shut off fine for the rest of the day

I got the car back from the shop the other day and they fixed the gas leak this time and the gas gauges and they are still working.

I'm just waiting to take it to an actual knowledgeable and experienced mechanic here on April 17th so they can try to determine what is causing this madness with the random cold start misfire on cylinder 6.

Ok so I took it to a local mechanic with the longest history in business and with nothing but many excellent reviews.

He checked the car and saw that it would run good and then saw it run bad afterwards.

He opened the valve cover on the passenger side and saw I had a broken valve spring on cylinder 6 and replaced all the valve springs on the passenger side as well as the valve cover gasket while he was there and that resolved the issue.

When I went to pick up the car they showed me the broken valve spring and it was broken near it's tip about only 1 coil down just like I imagined it must have been if that were the case as I found one person online who said they were having this issue and that is what it ended up being it was a different model car also they had but still. I figured if it was a broken valve spring it would be more like what I experienced the last time I had a broken valve spring with this car which it was always bad sounding and never ran good with it. not intermittent.

What is also odd in this case is I for a while when I had the round Delphi ignition coils on the car was consistently at that point getting a misfire that went from cylinder 6 to cylinder 2 and occasional just a general random misfire code. It moved back to cylinder 6 when I installed the new square OEM coil packs on the car removing the round Delphi coils

So glad to have the car back again after all this madness with no gas leaking when I fill it up anymore after Meineke worked on it and had to access the fuel tank like 8 or 9 times and my gas gauges are all working again still and the car is no longer misfiring intermittently when I go to start it up.

The car's a 2010 but damn near brand new also now with all these parts I replaced on it in this process LOL

So glad to hear you got it fixed and she's up and running as she should be now. Give that criminal of a shop a 1 start Google review with a description of what all happened so others don't get taken for a ride also. YIKES! At least she's half new now and should run you a good long time now!

I noticed this morning that the gas is still leaking from the gas tank cause I smelled gas in the garage and looked under it and saw the fuel tank wet with a small amount of fuel that seeped out from it slowly over time. The leak is not as bad but it is still there and so I'm gonna need to take it back to Meineke who caused the leak and have them work to correct it again for about the 5th time now with this gas leak issue still a problem

It's no longer running down the fuel tank when I went to fuel it up initially like it was prior and making a puddle underneath the car but its still slowly seeping out from somewhere.

I'd. Ever bring anything to a Meineke, bring it to a reputable place, how many times do you want to drop the cradle and tank and have a chance of something else go wrong.
