Battery Current Sensor replacement pointers needed

Hello,
I am throwing the Battery Saver mode on my car, charging seems to be fine, 14.XX on start up then goes up to 15.2 and hangs our there when the battery saver turns on. Battery is 2.5 years old, tested 100%, CCA were a little lower at 625ish which should be messing with this. So I ordered a new OEM Current sensor, will be here tomororw, it goes over the negative cable in the trunk. Any idea if it will clear the post once negative cable is off the terminal or do I need to cut the cable and recrimp it?

Looks like it goes right over the negative terminal, retaped the sensor to the cable, went smooth....
