Lube my wheel :-D

Steering wheel has a bit of a rubbing noise in it. Thinking to pull and lube somehow. Before I get after it, anyone have any tips both on dis/assembly and lube?

There is a rubber boot on the inside of the firewall that the steering shaft goes through that generally causes the noise. I've shot a little white lithium grease between the boot and shaft and that generally will take care of it for a while until the grease dries up. Rinse and repeat.

I could swear it's at the steering wheel, but I'll check that.

...Already have long tubes, but with stock exhaust. We'll see what else comes when. The thing about this sound is I can sometimes slightly feel it as well. So, I guess I'm a little OCD about it.

When I worked for ford that’s what we used to do all the time and used silicone spray or white lithium grease. Very common problem with them

I agree it seems to be coming from the steering wheel, I've never actually spent any time trying to pinpoint the exact area, but its on the to do list.
