PLEASE HELP - NEED PASSENGER SEAT!!

Hello - Any help is very much appreciated! I bought a very nice low mileage Z/28 from a dealer that was less than honest, to put it politely, and when I received the car there was a 1” cut in the front passenger seat that looks to have been done by a box cutter. I was looking to buy the entire seat cover but have learned they are no longer available. If anyone has or knows where I can get a passenger seat, I would be truly grateful!

Thanks so much!
Frank

Any good upholstery shop can remove the damaged panel and use it as a template to make a new one.

Thank you for your reply! I do have a great upholstery guy, but he told me he can't get the original fabric, meaning he would have to redo the entire interior so that everything matches. I'd prefer to get a replacement seat, or original fabric if possible - I want to keep this car as original as possible.

Apparently, 22972710 was replaced by 84022057, so it looks like both numbers might be for the seat back, not the seat bottom. I'll keep everyone posted. If anyone has definitive info please post. Thanks again!

I must apologize I was going off an email I received from my parts guy 3 years ago when I had my Z. You are correct. I did find a number for a Recaro seat bottom but don’t know if it’s leather or the alcantara.
Good luck in your search.

Thanks again for your input! If anyone can point me in the right direction I would be very grateful, whether with a lead on a seat-bottom cover or entire passenger seat.

I have not, but I definitely will. Thanks so much! Hopefully I can post a success story on here in the not too distant future.

Good luck ole buddy . Parts for these cars are getting scarce. When GM first built and started selling these cars , if you needed certain parts you had to actually prove you were an owner of one with the vin number. But I guess the old gen 5 part bins needed to be cleared out for the new Alfa platform gen 6 coming out so they must have opened up the doors for any and all gen 5 owners to purchase whatever they chose to . Kinda sucks because it happened way too soon in our cars lifespan for any of our parts to have time to wear out or become damaged. I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a 5th gen RS 3.6L out there somewhere running around with DSSV struts 19” Z/28 wheels and flares a deck lid spoiler with a wickerbill.
I’ve made up my mind if I’m gonna keep mine and continue to put mile on it I’ll have to go aftermarket on some items or bit the bullet and just purchase a wrecked one and salvage what I can and what I need
Again , good luck

I did speak with Hawks Motorsports but they are not selling any parts from the two Z/28's on their sight - they are apparently "flipping" the cars and not parting them out. I'm back to square one. Thanks again for lead though, Gbland60, much appreciated!

Depending on how much you're willing to spend. There are some Z/28 front seats for sale on ebay. Good Luck!

Thank you for your reply! I did check those out, but when I looked closely they appear to be in rougher shape than I hoped for, at least the bottoms are, which is what I need.
