Ordering tires

Where does everyone order their tires from? Was looking at summit since they have nitto 555 r2 in stock and Motivo front tires. Was maybe looking if other places are cheaper. Or someone has a coupon code for summit ? Or a different front tire

305/45/18 rear
245/55/18 front

Every place I've seen prices 555 R2s the same. $432 each for 315/35/20s. I'm about to buy a pair myself, unless I decide to drop down in tire size, but I don't really feel like spending $600 on a pair of cheap drag wheels for the rear.

I get all my tires from Discount Tires. I have a shop local that gives me great deals on them! Lucky to know all the boys, and they LOVE it when I bring her in.. lol.

My 555s are pretty close to worn out, and I only have about 5000 miles on them. Lots of trips to the dragstrip though. So I don't know how much more life they have than M/Ts.

Who is going to do the mount/balance? The reason I ask is that I got a deal @ Tire Rack but then found out my friends machine couldn't do my 20's. I took them to another shop & they seemed butt hurt that I didn't buy from them & they over charged me on everything. How do you like the Welds?

I got mine from Discount Tire (Americas Tire)
They price matched an online price, but I did have to pay them to mount and balance. I destroyed a front tires sidewall and they replaced with new under the road hazard warranty I paid a bit extra for.

As of December '21 Discount owns Tire Rack. Next time take your tires to Discount and you can even purchase the Road Hazard warranty.

Been using Discount Tire for a while.
Years ago, I was buying from Tire Rack and having Discount mount them.
The manager of the Discount Tire shop I have been frequenting said he will match Tire Rack prices and would include the installation. Always had a great experience with them.
Now they own Tire Rack!

That sounds like a perfect amount of life for me. I only drive the car on weekends and when it’s nice out.

Probably will go to the local tire shop by me to mount them and balance. The forged 3 piece welds are beautiful and a work of art. Will be ordering the tires soon. About ti go on vacation for 2 weeks and don’t want them sitting on my porch lol.

Actually, I went in to Discount Tire to order my new 555's and they had a record of when I had my first pair installed - 7000 miles ago. They're not 100% bald, either, so I'm certain I could get 10K out of them if I didn't go racing constantly, lol. Grand total of $963. For two tires. Ouccch!
