OK, Since that worked, one thing I haven't mentioned yet......On the aforementioned trip to Utah I had a couple of days off. Working and staying on a remote military base with absolutely nothing to do. So I decided to head up to Bonneville. I mean, can you call yourself a car nut and be within 1.5hrs of Bonneville and not go if you have time? I had spoken with a friend who owns a ZR1 Vette on the way out there and he told me I'd have to surrender my man card if I didn't take my car out on the flats. Told me he would without hesitation. So here are some pics from that adventure.

Man you are brave. No way I’d put my car on the salt. I live about 8 hrs from bonneville. It’s tempting but that salt gets everywhere. I looks like you had a great time and respectable that you got up close to the factory speed limiter. Make sure you wash it off underneath really really well!

Congrats, that’s a sharp car. I also just recently bought a 2012 2SS with 45k miles. Also what’s your wheel setup?

It's been in the air, wheels off, and hosed top, bottom, and every which way twice since I got home.

The speed....I'll say this, the conditions out there sucked that day. The salt was so damp you could scoop it up and pack snowballs with it. Rolling resistance was much higher than on pavement, traction/forward bite was a challenge as well. Crazy wheel spin thru 3rd, finally got to mat it in 4th after some pedaling, and 5th was only a little better than 4th. She'd hit the limiter easier on the right piece of pavement.

They're factory size front and rear, 275/40 & 245/45, just aftermarket wheels.

Oh trust me, they do hit the limiter with relative ease if you’ve got some distance.

Wow that looked like fun!! Glad you got her all cleaned up right away! I live in Florida on the east coast and it just gets everywhere just by driving beach side.

Nice Car!! - Fellow Texan here and also have the Man Trans in my Camaro.
My mods so far have been Headers & magna flow exhaust system, CAI, Stage 3 BTR cam kit and tune. Making about 525 rwhp after tune. Stage 2 cam kit would be great for daily drivability and should be very reliable on the road if shop does proper installation.

A too good to be true type of number

…unless there’s some other missing mods to that list.
