They do that to the standard GT's, wife is gonna want a supercharger. I'm gettin' mine first. Once the credit cards are paid off. Buy the storage shed. Kid needs braces. Another car for the 14 yr old in two years...

I don't know about that. It's probably just that dealer being a d*bag. My dad has gotten denied a test drive twice: Once for a Testarossa, and once for the EVO X when it came out. It was pretty easy to conclude that the guys at the mitsu dealer were being a**holes. So,I think you should just move on to a new dealer, if you have another one near your house.

Dealer's turn down test drives because 1. they think the person who want's to drive it has no intention of buying it. 2. Its a new car and they want to keep the miles down. Generally, its a combination of both.

The Testarossa one had to do with miles, I know for sure. The mitsu one was they thought my dad had no intention of buying it. They wanted a 10k deposit with the test drive...

Nice man, so 1 girl owns a mustang? there are multiple females on this site who own camaros, is that a problem for you?

And, your post means nothing to me, I still haven't seen a girl in a new mustang.

With the three specific things I mentioned, most all dealers would be drooling over you. and would beg you to drive it.

Finding someone interested and with the means to pay for
A- prove- Have cash in hand/ cashiers check.
B- preapproved letter from bank
C- let them run the credit! If they approve you. And you want to drive the vehicle you plan to buy- they will.

This isn't a ZR1 or a Nissan GTR- This is a car that is being mass produced. It has sold more than the 2010 Mustang GT (which is a car, that prides it self on being the leading seller of its class)

A 36K car that is selling more than a Mustang is VERY test drivable.

In my little podunk town- There are 2 or 3 used Camaros already.
and 3 or 4 new ones.

The dealer didn't let him test drive for the things I mentioned in my above post.

I agree that when a town gets one or two cars total for a long period of time-- yeah they tend not to easily give up test drives. But the Camaro has plenty of cars being produced.

Wow... Wait, you guys think the Camaro SS2 is going to go UP in price, not DOWN in price by spring? Are you serious? I should buy it in December then... maybe some salesmen are having a hard time moving this car in the winter in NY?

Just blowing some steam here: This is the unimportant part of my post. Don't kill me for saying this:
I wish GM made a less perfect Camaro V8. I didn't need a 6.2 liter engine. The old LS1 would have kept me happy and cost less. I wish I could get a Camaro v8 for 28,000-30,000. But whatever the world is not perfect.

If the SS2 is going to appreciate in value, that's more reason to buy the SS2. Don't mind spending more for a better car (but don't wanna get ripped off). But a cheaper car is an easier buying decision. That's all.
