Oh so true!! My dealer is 40 minutes away, but I wouldn't trust ANYONE else to work on my Camaro! My guy has been working on mine since about day one, and he knows my Camaro like his family.

Hate to point it out, but that isn't an SS Camaro, the front fascia is that of a V6 Camaro, possibly an RS as the roof ditch molding is painted the car color as the RS's were.

Turned out good. Gives it that "1LE" look... Black always looks good with white.

It has an 8-cylinder engine in it, so there’s that, sure seems like an LS3. The color is off on the front slightly, so it may have been replaced. The grill is aftermarket, it seems the original is still behind it with what could/should be the original SS badging.

I don’t know much about the history, but it seems the least likely series of events is someone put the V8 into what was a V6, but I don’t know for sure since I just got it.

There was a “thing” early on in the 10-11 cars where some people would swap the SS fascia for the V6 because of the mail slot. The mail slot was a love it or hate it in the early days. I’ve seen mention of this in several places here and otherwise on the inner webs. Once the ZL1 came out that became the hot swap front end for those not totally sold on the SS mail slot.

You should find the rpo sticker in the trunk under the carpet on the left side. Take a pic & post it.

Thanks for the background, that could be the case. I only catch the color variation in certain light, but it was enough to make me wonder if it got replaced at some point.

I like the mail slot, and there is some damage to the front, so if it ever gets running well, I plan on replacing the front fascia, I will definitely look to get the mail slot back! Since this isn’t a life time car I was planning on doing one of those eBay pre-painted bumpers and hope for the best. This is just, hopefully, a fun care for my wife and I to drive for a little while, nothing too serious.

Sacrificed half my soul and most of my sanity doing the brakes over the weekend, had to rush it to get the car operational so I could get to work today but having some issues (brakes doesn't engage until the pedal is about 60% of the way down) so today is one of those "counting down minutes until I'm off work so I can keep trying to fix it while looking up various threads during any downtime" types of work days
