Need a Favor ya'll
Could someone please give me 2 dimensions for the Tunnel Brace?
center hole to center hole, if someone has one handy, I have no lift right now and I'm getting my CV Axle replaced tomorrow. I'm making my own out of 1/2" Aluminum on a CNC Mill so I be able to get some 3" pipes down there. I would really appreciated. |

I will make a few and post em on here, maybe some free giveaway's.
I got some Aluminum which I will machine and can Laser cut some .119" mild steel for the brackets and tubing and weld em on. It's just freaking crazy the prices on these!! I can also Powder Coat but only in Caterpillar Black, Yellow and John Deere Green lol

I'm not running one right now, but only because my exhaust needs adjusting because it vibrates against the brace lol. I didn't really know what it was for when I took it off. Is it to give the car a little more rigidity?

I have the BMR subframe connectors and they are tied together with the tunnel Brace. Makes a big difference in rigidity. They do create clearance issues in a lowered car like mine, but...

I had that problem when I had my stock brace with the 3" exhaust. Stacked a few washers between the brace and the floor and problem solved!! Then I bought the BMR one.

I think I used either 3-4 on each bolt. Worked like a charm!! Gave it just enough clearance so when the exhaust moved any, it didn't touch. Good luck!

Dual 3.5 inch exhaust and a 4” one piece driveshaft all nicely tucked away… Removed a substantial portion of the aluminum (“heat barrier / sound deadening”) shielding from the tunnel, mostly towards the back… as well… There’s nothing wrong with well crafted shiny or even dull (well crafted) bits here and there… I made quite a bit of effort to craft nice pieces that ended up under my car, never to be seen outside the shop… However, I discarded the tunnel brace about the time I installed the MGW shifter… Never noticed any issues as we graduated the car up in power, or racing intensity… I suppose if that big aluminum transmission crossmember won’t support the tunnel spread, that sheet metal brace won’t either… I’m sorry I have no image to show…
