I normally use the base line to figure out the dyno's loss. So for the 542.9 RWHP run with WCF I would figure 580 divided by 542.9 or a ratio of 1.068 (6.8% driveline/dyno loss). So the modded run of 612.1 RWHP would be 612.1 times 1.068 = 653.72 HP at the crank. So to me the baseline gives you the ratio to figure out the modded crank HP. This is how I have always done it as I feel it is more accurate than always using the default 1.15 for a manual which would equal 703.9 HP on this car.

Typically, yes they will read higher than a Mustang dyno

I've always felt Dynojets are more accurate when compared to track numbers. Without a doubt they are more consistent from dyno to dyno. I've dyno'd mine on different days (similar weather), different dynos (both Dynojet 248's) and the SAE corrected numbers were within a couple of hp. Regardless of what type of dyno you use, stick to the same one for true back to back comparisons when modding. Just my 02.

Dyno numbers are great... but mean little if the driver can't drive. Mine made 490 on a chilly day, and ran 11.59 in even colder weather. It doesn't mean mine is faster or makes more power than any other Z, I just take advantage of nature's power adder... negative da. It does still take some skill to launch a car on a cold track on street tires, but if I can do it, anyone can.

What size is the whipple? Also is the intake tube custom made? Nice looking setup on the ZL1.
