Keep in mind that if a dealer installed it the model could differ.

I think either would work on camaro but the low roofline probly lead to the spoiler type which increases headroom. I have one on my 01GTP and it works great. The spoiler type are typically less prone to leaks due to the fact that they seal from the top with the glass pannel being oversized. The downside is they are often more noisy.

IMHO I think the reverse mohawk adds to the overall agressive stance of the vehicle and am not willing to sacrifice that for a sunroof. A targa top or t-roof might have swayed me, but not a sunroof

What's the definition of someone who calls people names and insults other people (like you just did)?

If you don't like my opinions then don't argue with me or belittle my opinions by trying to classify them as "trolling" when they are just as valid as yours. Just because someone doesn't agree with you doesn't make them automatically wrong or a "troll".

P.S. Your own definition describes what you just did to me.

I would like T-Tops, never had them. But the strength of the body would be weaker with T-Tops, correct???

It's typically not as bad as a converible and not as good as a hardtop. The T-tops on my 4th gens were a lot stiffer than those on my 3rd gens. I never had a 'vert so I can't say for sure how much less they were.

The only real downside of T-tops is if you get a like a minor leak at a carwash or if the rolls a few times like my father did in my black 96 Firebird. (How in the heck does a person roll these cars anyways?) While they may not be as "good" as a hardtop, they are close enough where it matters

The 80's T-Tops seemed to really leak badly over time and by the late 80's they had modified the gaskets to the point where they were a lot better but still could leak. The 4th gens had a new design that had drain channels inside the gaskets and they were awesome at preventing leaks but a lot of people bashed the design because they had never seen one in person and figured that it was the same as the 3rd gen leaky ones. The 4th gen design had a "leaky" stigma that it couldn't shake.

You would think that it would be possible to design non-leaky t-tops in this day and age..

Captain's right. You can design a leak proof design, but if it leaked in a previous generation, people won't believe it. Sadly, people don't like reevaluating expectations. They have preconceived notions, and they will stick to them. That's why if you ask anyone about car quality, they'll talk about how good Toyota was in the 70s and 80s and how bad GM was then. They never stop to check if the roles have reversed since then. Sad but true.

Oh and in the Captain's defense, by the definition posted he is not a troll because his posts are always on topic. Yes he does repeat complaints to death, but that does not a troll make. Trust me, if trolls acted like Captain Awesome, the internet would be a better place.

To be honest, I don't think he fits the definition of Troll.

His comments aren't necessarily irrelevant or off-topic. Controversial? Marginally, but only to some. His comments are usually about whatever the thread is discussing, they are just constant is all.

3. I'm more than happy to have the sunroof open that way to give us taller folks the greater headroom. You see, if you're 5'9", putting the sunroof INSIDE the car is no big deal....it's actually better. But, if you are 6'3" plus, it's got to work that way. Wise decision IMHO.

4. Lions club is who I need to contact??? Hells yeah!, I'll contact them!
yeah im with you tag, id love to have some t tops on this. but i like the rev mo hawk alot better. i wanted it from the begining anyways.

But wouldn't that be cool if GM could do some t-tops that were reverse mohawk formed?...or at least ran w/ the same contour of the reverse mohawk roofline?

I know it'll never happen, but I'd LOVE to see a version of such.

Cost and weight. Extra bracing needed for a T-top and that means more weight higher up raising the center of gravity meaning not as good handling.
