I have to say, that one sucks. And the reason it sucks is, the genius that made it, designed it so when you click in a field, it clears it out. Want to take $3000 off the loan amount as a downpayment? CLEAR. Worst designed form every.

Because theirs isn't a calculator, it's an advertisement for auto loans.

cars.com actually has a good one. 3.9% for 5 years puts me in a reasonable payment range. Now I just need to find 3.9%. 3.9% means your paying about 21% extra to the bank. GMAC's 7.67% works out to about 44% extra to GMAC. Thats nuts.

Have you tried your credit union if you are a member of one, or if you can join one. I got 3.7 % from mine with nothing down, 24 to 66 months for the same rate. I'll decide that after I take delivery...

I've heard credit unions are the way to go. I'll have to look in to that. What is the whole "membership" thing about though? I've never dealt with a credit union so I don't really get how they work. I've only used banks.

To become a member with most credit unions you have to open a checking or savings account. Once you put 5 or 10 bucks in the account you are a member and are qualified for there low rates. I work for a bank and get an employee discount, and my local credit union still had a better deal.
