Which struts for comfort

Have a 2010 Camaro SS with about 75k miles. Would could be the cause of when going over pot holes that aren’t even that bad or a bump on the road. Sometimes it makes an extremely loud clunk, sounds like a sledge hammer hitting the strut. I also have eibach lowering springs.

I’ve read that the eibach springs are one of the worst for wanting a smooth ride.
But anything else I could check or replace with something better to make it more smooth.
Struts and shocks still stock.

Any insight would be much appreciated thanks.

How much lower are your springs?

Has the car been lowered on the eibachs for a while with no issues, and this recently started happening? Or were the eibachs just installed?

Could be a strut is worn out and needs to be replaced.

When mine did that clunking crap, it ended up being a strut, passenger side, so I replaced both sides. Took care of my problem.

Wow got so busy in life I completely forgot I posted this question. Thanks for the reply’s.
I am currently shopping around for some new struts in the front and don’t know what to go with. I am at the point of my life where I just want it to feel smooth and comfortable when going over bumps. Where it doesn’t sound like the engine falls out each time I hit a tiny road bump. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Also since doing the struts and the car has 80k miles should I do anything else while I’m in there? Like bushings, tie rods etc….

Me, I'd get rid of the Eibach's for sure. When I had my Mustang and had them on it, they really sucked for ride comfort. My Camaro had the Pfadt Race Engineering 1.25 lowering springs on it, and love them! Been on for over 12 years now. A couple of my friends are running them on their Camaro's too, after riding and driving mine.

Ok so I must have been on high when saying I have Ebiach springs. 😅
I actually do have the pfatds springs currently but looking for some good comfort struts and shocks preferably more comfortable then performance. As I don’t do track or anything like that at all.

Was looking at the B6’s but they are just a bit on the pricey side, so was also looking at the Koni orange or possibly the yellows and also the pedders sportryders.

I just left mine OEM when they were replaced. My Camaro rides pretty smooth. Tires can play a big roll in ride comfort as well, and tire air pressure, along with the suspension.

I got them from my dealership, with a 15% discount about 5 years ago.

So called dealer and they have discounted the 2012 shocks and struts which I’m assuming is the fe4’s? Anyone know if I’m still able to get some somewhere? And what’s the average price for fronts and rears with and without the coils just incase I wanna go back to stock cause right now it’s grinding up my bottom of the car a lot.

Also once I do pull the trigger for which ever struts. Should I replace anything else while in there? Car currently has 80k miles and suspension feels really bad in the front harsh banging noise when hitting bumps and little pot holes.

Can anyone tell me if these strut assemblies are decent? Again I’m not trying to go crazy on corners or track the car ever. I’m just looking for more comfort and also wanting to go back to stock Height. I know I can get some Koni orange set but most shops out here won’t warranty outside parts at all and also I’d have to worry about switching out the spring to the new struts.

The issue is with cheaper struts and shocks they tend to rust and leak ( Even without rusting ) very early on and then you will be paying for the work twice. Monroe is a very popular name in the replacement business but they are junk, they offer the strut spring combo but I am lucky to get a year or two before I have to replace them. Go with a a better set up and save yourself the time and money, Remember with strut changes comes an alignment as well.
