Unfortunately I have to tame my camera settings down to get the pictures to post so they are no where close to as nice as it looks in person.

Still a fantastic car, I love all of the pictures. I need to set some time aside and do a deep clean and ceramic coat but will probably wait until the weather cools off in the fall.

I did some work on my stripes tonight. I’ve been working on ceramic coating the car over the last few nights… in a motel parking lot of all places… some troglodyte not named Aqua Blue RS/SS, waxed the black stripes before I bought it and they’ve looked like crap the entire time I’ve owned it. I’ve got another set of stripes but waiting for the right place to install them. At this point I figured how bad could ceramic coat screw them up… it turns out they actually came to life.
That looks great ! I am in the same boat. Mine have started to fade , and nothing is seeming to help. I too , found a new set of stripes and am looking for the right place to install them. Which ceramic coating did you use? I may try it to see if I can extend mine for a lil longer .

I used carbon force from Chemical guys and can’t speak highly enough about it. It’s about $130 for a bottle but there’s probably enough there to do the car twice over. It’s really user friendly and the results are amazing. I wish I could post some of the good pictures here but as I said the site won’t upload them.

The ceramic will extend the life of the stripes indeed...

Very cool! I’ve been on Las Vegas motor speedway and Phoenix both running laps in my Old 5th Gen. it’s a lot of fun. I bet Dover with the banking the way it is would be a lot of fun. I’ve been to a couple cup races there thru the years.

It’s pretty cool to feel the way the car loads up at speed on the banking and the transitions into the banking. With The way the straightaways at Dover are banked and only increase into the corners I bet it’s a blast. I’ve seen several cup drivers compare it to a roller coaster.
