Splitter Install

Installed a splitter (lip) on the car last night. Diggin' the way it turned out. It just looked like there was something missing on the front bumper IMO. This took care of that!

Looks like the SLP lip. Same one that i installed. I didn't remove the bumper to install mine, I just wedged something in between the bumper and the support and stuck my arms inside with the wrench. Looks good. It dents and dings fairly easily. Be careful of road debris.

Looks great! Real similar look to RPI ZL1 style. That would have been a perfect time to add a heritage as well… oh wait GM sucks ass and there aren’t any more real ones again…

Such a great looking car! I've seen only one of them in the wild.

A little bit of ECM tuning trying to get the LTFT's into line. I think this is the best I can do.

Didn't actually do anything but I did receive my new Katzkin leather seat covers today! Woohoo! I have wanted these things for years due to the crappy bolster design on the OEM covers. Seriously, 90% of the used 5th gen seats I see for sale have cracked/torn/worn driver's bolsters.

Anyhow, super psyched to install them, although not sure if I am self-installing or getting them done professionally yet. The seat covers themselves are rather simple, as GM did not use hog rings on the 5th gens. But the kit also came with armrests, center console lid cover, dash trim covers, door panel covers...not sure if I'm forgetting anything. I also plan to drop the OEM and new headrest covers off to see if I can get the SS logo embroidered on the new covers, as Katzskin doesn't have licensing to do them unfortunately.

I went with black with perforated inserts like OEM and red stitching. I also upgraded them so only the sides and backs of the front seats are vinyl. Not sure of the vinyl content on the rears. Cannot wait to get some of that smelly leather goodness back! Oh yeah, if any of you are ever in the market for new 5th gen seat foam you are out of luck. GM being GM, they discontinued them, of course. I can't find new seat foam for our cars anywhere that actually has them. Sorry...just super excited for upgrade.

^^^^

I have to say that cover looks quite substantial and heavy duty. A good installation and you should be golden for quite some time.

Looking much better. Any idea why it went off?

I think this is something I want to do to. Let us know if you decide to do the install yourself. I'm very curious the difficulty level to get it done.
