Maybe I missed the part where the dealer or you actually fixed this.. Clearly that was not stated in the original post.

I've had the same problem, I've replaced the clutch master 4 times in the past 2 years the first time it happened I thought it was the clutch slave so I dropped the tranny changed the clutch (exedy stage 2), flywheel (OEM), slave (OEM) and added the monster billet standoff. it still wasn't right so I changed the clutch master. i had already had a separate reservoir so I left it as is. second time i thought i had a faulty master or there may have been a mix-up and i got a v6 instead of a v8, so i replaced again, and bled the whole system completely also added a remote bleed hose. the third time it happened i thought it was caused by the "sealed" motorcycle reservoir I used. replaced it again and also added a larger steel braided hose from master to slave. and connected it back to the OEM reservoir Now im stumped. i just changed it again. no change to anything else in the system and its working 100%. what the heck is causing this?? Btw 100k miles when i changed the clutch the first time and the clutch was still decent condition so was the slave. now im at 150K no slipping no other problems except the master not releasing the clutch. |

Not trying to grave-dig year old threads, but I'm having this issue. I randomly started having my clutch pedal lose pressure, until it finally only have travel at the very absolute bottom of the pedal; presumably whatever's left of the clutch slave cylinder travel perhaps..?
I do also have a separate/remote clutch fluid/master cylinder reservoir (04-06 Pontiac GTO kit with mounting bracket). I inspected no fluid AT ALL, to be leaking from around the clutch fluid reservoir, the upper clutch line (from the fluid reservoir to the upper master cylinder(?) connection at the firewall, right by the brake booster area. I have not yet jacked up the car, but there's been nothing visible dripping underneath the car, nor have I seen anything at the master cylinder piston/rod or whatever, in my foot well area at the clutch pedal. I did remove my factory clutch return/assist spring, as I was afraid of this happening and having my clutch drag and also having to constantly manually pull back up the clutch pedal. As a result, I ended up installing a DIY return spring of my own, since I found the Lingenfelter one to be rather pricey and something I and others could easily achieve from home (to a degree). This did save me, although it doesn't do much anyways, since there's no hydraulic pressure left (presumably), and all the spring is doing is pulling the pedal back to the top return location. I'm assuming the master cylinder has failed, or maybe something inside of the transmission, like maybe the concentric slave cylinder or release bearing, maybe even the PLASTIC bearing support that people constantly have issues with (from it MELTING)... |

Could be the bearing support cup melted , you should jack up the car and look inside the bell housing thru the inspection hole to see if anything is leaking there . Also: are you sure you bled all the air out of the slave ?
