Ignition key not coming out issue

I've been meaning to post this. As you can see in my sig line i have a 2015 refresh model. I been getting this ignition issue for a few years now. It continuously got worse. What i was experiencing was the ignition wasn't turning the last 1/2 inch of travel so it wouldn't release key.

I've read all the threads about this issue. Was reluctant to disconnect lock solenoid in steering column mainly for safety reasons. Well i couldn't deal with it any more and finally disconnected the solenoid. It only took less than ten minutes. The key won't pull out when the car is running or even in accessory. I've noticed no difference except problem solved.

Wish i done it sooner!
