Turn signal indicator always glowing
My 11 Camaro has been sitting for a couple of months (battery maintainer connected, etc) - and when I got in today, the right turn signal indicator on the dash is faintly glowing. I drove the car on a couple hour trip, and the light did turn off for awhile at cruising speed, but it did not stay off. All of the turn signal bulbs seem to be working just fine. There's of course no fuse for the turn signals, since they all come from the BCM. I Disconnected the main IP to Body harness in the right kick panel, but the light did NOT go off. Does that say that it's either something in the BCM or the IP Cluster? I would have thought that if it were a grounding issue in the rear harness (my first thought) that disconnecting the Body harness from the IP harness would have killed the light.
Any crazy ideas out there on this one? |

Did you ever find an answer to this. My car started doing the same thing this morning.
I know this is old, but I would like to find an answer.

One of my suggestions would be to check all the bulb connections, front and back, and pull the bulbs out and inspect the contacts inside the plug for and moisture contamination. Maybe?? Just a thought.

The instrument cluster may just react to a request from the BCM via the data network since the instrument cluster is considered an independent module. I'm not saying it is this way, but it could be. It would take a dive into the service manual to know for sure
