Same price I got about 2 years ago, which I was more than happy with. The stealerships are the worse, price wise. Went with 20% which is still, plenty dark.

A good bit has gone down since my last post in this thread. I got hit by another driver wrapped up in a road rage incident with yet another driver. I was in the wrong place at the wrong time but it seems to be moving forward now. I decided to take the cash from Hagerty and fix it my self. I ordered all the parts yesterday (obviously assuming I don’t find anything else on tear down) once I get the bumper and fender painted I’ll put it back together. It could have been a lot worse, but it does suck having such a perfect low mile car bruised up. I’m not planning to blend any paint so I can leave as much of the factory paint intact as possible.

No, only one time. I’ve been working thru the insurance process to get paid so I could get it fixed. It’s been largely parked since late August. Because I elected to do the repairs on my own the payout process was a little longer than if a shop had done it. Hagerty as a whole had been very good to work with but my adjuster doesn’t communicate very well and takes frequent pressure on my end to keep up with things, which has slowed things down. Originally I took it to a shop for the preliminary estimate which they never forwarded to Hagerty so that too slowed things down.

Ouch - that sucks. Looks like new Fender, Fascia, and Air Dam. I have plenty of experience assembling those parts and getting the gaps and flush's correct, and it is not a easy process. Start getting the fender to door gap correct, then Fender to Fascia, then the Hood. Good luck!

Oh man, that sucks. I know the frustration. Just a few weeks after I got my ABM the neighbor across the street backed into the rear bumper and left. Luckily the next door neighbor had just got home from work and saw it all and let me know.

Thanks guys, it sucks but definitely could be worse. All the parts showed up last week and I’m dropping the bumper and fender off this afternoon for paint. Maybe I’ll have it back together next weekend, if I don’t find anything else wrong when I tear into it. Life has been busy lately so I haven’t had much time to get going on it.
My brother picked the parts up from the dealer close to where my house is and brought them to my apartment 3 hours away last week. It was like Christmas opening everything up.

Hopefully the paint matches even using the newer camera technology to get the paint code it's not always that close, Blending definitely helps even when there's a seem in between panels.

I think it’ll be pretty decent. I saw the spray out he did against the color on the original fuel door (I’ve got a GM Camaro accessory door) and it looks really good. They did find one real minor dent in the brand new fender that was packed like shit straight from GM. I’m gonna try and get the bumper off tonight to make sure nothing else is damaged so I can start going back together hopefully next week. It’ll be good to get this chapter over.

And so it begins. Found the locating pin from the headlight to fender is broken, the lower grill is broken as well as the passenger running light housing assembly. The passenger side was a real pain in the ass to get the three forward facing bolts that hold the fender to the bumper. Everything else that I speculated was broke is. I got paid for the headlight but I’m not going to replace it. They are not available oem new and no reason to put a 250k or whatever mile used light in place of the one there. It still works and no one will ever know that pin is broken. I can’t see any major use for that pin other than aligning the light and fender on the assembly line. I’m gonna take it to the shop at work to put it together, but decided to see how bad I’d piss off the apartment complex management with my shenanigans. I wanted to make sure I had everything ready to go before assembly and no surprises. I’ll order the running light and lower grill tomorrow.

More progress. It’s going back together Saturday. The fuel door is original to the car. It’s a perfect match. The dent in the fender was metal finished out so no filler, which is a huge plus.

I know what you mean, in my younger years I did final qc for a body shop I worked at. I inspected each car we turned out. 20 years later I still can pick out imperfections a mile away. The guy who painted it has been doing it close to 50 years so he’s sprayed a car or a million lol.
