Hey Wayne how does that cover do with wind? Any issues with scratches or marring at all? Mine is in outdoor covered parking similar to yours but I’m worried about putting a cover on it being outside still.

It has a tie down loop on each side under the doors, I tie a 1/8th inch cord under the car from side to side, and pull it pretty tight, no marks as of yet. It has been through 2 hurricanes this year, Helene and Milton, both of them the 60-75mph winds were coming onto my carport directly from the driver side front. I tied a half inch rope from front wheel to wheel around the front, bottom of the lower bumper cover, same thing on the rear, wheel to wheel and around the lower portion of the bumper cover just below the license plate area, then one from front wheel to wheel over the top of the hood, to keep it down. All was good!! No damage at all to the paint. The cover itself is very light and breathable. Double stitched around all the edges, and grommets. And it is water proof. I like it! It is about 8 years old, and is the OEM cover from GM, my dealership gave it to me because I had all my work done there when I needed anything, and I sent some friends there. I think it listed for around 350 bucks or so. It has held up very well, and through all the hurricanes and storms, except it has faded over the years. Sorry for the novel..

No worries at all, those are all things I’ve wondered about. I guess I get a little scared because of the dust we have here, getting between the paint and the cover and causing problems. I think I’ll give it a shot soon. I want to get the paint back out of the sun/elements as much as possible when I’m not driving it.

Ye sir, just wanted to paint a picture for you about all the weather the car covered up has been through, and no damage to my paint yet. Some stuff will blow up under the cover unless you have one of those really stretchy ones that they make that would seal the under car better, but this one does the trick. The front of the cover has a non stretchy double stitched bottom seam, and the rear of the cover has a nice tight and elastic seam to pull it down good under the rear bumper cover and diffuser..
