The computer calculates the oil temp based on oil pressure and coolant temp.
Because the computer doesn't know you removed the factory system or added an aftermarket cooler, the temps will be unchanged.

I added a 32 row oil cooler and deleted my factory oil cooler in June.
The temps on the 4-pack gauge have not changed.
The oil cooler delete kit I got from Improved Racing has 2 sensor ports on the block off plate that I will use to add an actual oil temp sensor in the future.
Curious if there was any change to oil pressure?

I did more then delete the factory oil cooler and upgrade my Mishi oil cooler with a 32 row rad and a 180* thermostat.
I also installed a Melling high flow/high pressure oil pump, Improved Racing oil pan baffles, and a oil pressure bypass delete.

I also have a Mishi aluminum rad and 169* thermostat so my coolant temps stay lower then stock.

That does bring up a good question: I am not sure how the higher oil pressure and cooler coolant temps affects the oil temp calculation.
I really haven't seen any change in the oil temp gauge. It seems to settle at just below 200* when warmed up and raise up to about 220-240* after a 20min track session.

Perhaps more factors in the oil temp calculation? Like average engine RPM?
Someone else more informed then me should know!
