A random comment with no explanation? Shine some light on this and bestow some knowledge please. I’m just trying to get a few answers I can’t find even after extensive searching. I’ve been chasing this problem for a few years and diagnosis has been a nightmare.

I’ve read that and many other threads and searches, but nowhere does it say what people do with the hoses you take off. However, the valve set up does away with the question of where the hoses go. Sounds like I might take that route and it makes my question moot.

Thanks for the post.

Just sayin, it started off with one thing, and went into another thing. I know that happens sometimes, but here is the info about your heater hoses on the water pump. See post # 12..

This is what you will need..

I’m all over this. It’s just driving me crazy that no one, anywhere, seems to have shared what to do with the disconnected hoses. Do you let them dangle? Do you plug ‘em up? Do you zip tie ‘em to the fan belt? I’d love to say it’s common sense, of which I have an abundant supply, but I don’t want to operate outside of my skill set or knowledge, because that’s why stuff blows up. That’s another story.

I would go with the fan belt idea or connect them to the shunt in the trunk.

Hmmm I wonder if shunt is the reason for all these blend door/hvac issues coming up over the last few years? Sure seems possible to me?! That dirty rascal.

I probably shunt do that. I’ve unilaterally decided to plug them and zip tie them securely to the U hose connected to the pump. What’s the worse that can happen?

You have to search for shunt.

Not hunt, just search.
