Z/28 front rotor hats
Does anyone have the cooked Z/28 rotors that they don't have any use for anymore? I'm specifically looking for the two front hats from the Z/28 two piece discs.
I picked up some 6th gen ZL1 two piece rotors and calipers. Unfortunately, the 6th gen rotors don't bolt up to the 5th gen two piece. I tried using the hat from the 5th gen ZL1 discs on the 6th gen disc and unfortunately the hat won't line up to bolt the hat and disc is together. I'm thinking the Z/28 hat MIGHT work. Would anyone be willing to help solve this? Thank you As a side note, rear 6th gen calipers bolt on just fit for 5th gen SS/ZL1. 6th gen caliper looks similar but is a tad larger overall. (silver is 6th gen) |

Does that mean that the ZL1 disc is a replacement option for the Z28 ccb?

I'm not certain of this. I feel like I'm in uncharted territory with this endeavor. If I'm not mistaken, the 6th gen ZL1 caliper is the same size as the 5th gen Z/28. If that's true, then theoretically, that would be true.

Buy girodisc z28 to iron conversion rotors.
Front hats are super hard to find. I’ve been looking for a set for 2 years now. |
