oil change indication

hey folks, I've recently moved to the mobil1 race tech oil (10w60) on the z/28 and after a bit of spirited driving the "change oil" indication appeared on the display. This never happened in 2 years and several oil changes and track days (I change oil every 2 track days).
I've started using this oil after last change, which was 2 weeks ago...

what's happening? is there a need to reset something when I change oil? Maybe the car still "thinks" I have the same oil since 2022 ?

don't tell me to search, search in the forum is broken and doesn't work

I'm assuming the Z28 is the same as the rest of us in that you need to reset the oil life at each oil change. Congratulations, you are due for your first oil change

Turn the key to IGNITION ON (no engine start).

Press the option button on the DIC until ENGINE OIL MONITOR appears on the DIC screen
.
Press the set/reset button to reset the system.

All the above.. Yeah you need to reset it after each oil change, otherwise the system thinks you didn't do it yet.

+1. What is your cold start oil pressure? Especially on a chilly Northwestern morning?

I can check the oil pressure but yes, 10w60 race oil. I only use the car on the track and these race oils work wonders when they are hot. I could see higher pressure at cold engine, but it then goes to normal when warm. I can't test a chilly morning until it comes

I'm going to have a oil analysis after next change and compare it to the previous oils

I've never had problems searching Camaro5, but yet I've seen multiple people claim that search is broken.

sometimes it simply doesn't work at all (http status 500 server error, for the nerdy ones). It is probably load-related... when the DB has too many (search) requests it just breaks the search page
