How do you even contact a mod is my question. I haven't tried yet. I would imagine by just clicking on their avatar name and drop down menu to send a PM would do?

That's what I am guessing, figured I'd give it a little more time. Not trying to bother anyone but would like to be able bto ask for advice from the forum members.

The thing is... I do not have any of these issues on the other two forums I frequent daily. This is the only forum where there are constant issues and yet it is slowing the site activity down.

I am a Mod on another forum currently and used to be for 3rd Gen.org, I try not bother them figured maybe posting in here someone would see it. But I'll reach out in a day or so. This forum is great and I don't want to see it get over taken by the FB groups.

I too mod on another site and our admin there has gone to using a system to verify the user is human before loading the site. It has cut back immensely on the spam bot bs. I don’t know the details but I would rather do that than have to wait for approvals on starting threads. That add extra work for the site staff as well as being inconvenient to the users.

I have been a member of thirdgen.org site as well for a LONG time... This has not been an issue if I am not mistaken. It is a very well active site.. and has not been slowing down at all. I would hate to see the 5th gen site slow down.. as it makes no sense at all for it to. I agree... the FB groups are a joke.

Maybe you can make some recommendations to the mods on this site so that it does not slow down? There needs to be some way to make this work...

SSE No Problem, It wasn't something I needed an answer to that day. I get Life can be busy and this is most likely a Volunteer job for you. Is there a way to disable that feature as it seems to affect a few of us long time Members.
