does this work with the 14-15 front bumper? i’m asking because of the plastic piece that can be removed for the tow hook, i’m just wondering will it line up with it??!

Hello everyone,

I just wanted to pop in here and give an update on the project.

Unfortunately I don't believe that I will be making these in the future. I made a last ditch effort to produce a new prototype, and gave it to another forum member to test fit on a ZL1 bumper, who then ghosted me shortly after. I won't name call because that's not who I am. Overall, I didn't make any money on the project, in fact I lost money because producing these domestically was very expensive. RSM was not interested in producing any additional units after the first order. I reached out several times and they are more interested in building race cars, which I totally understand.

I want to thank those of you in the 5th gen community who embraced the product, and purchased it on preorder. I did it for you guys. I do still produce my ground cable kits, but i need to reinstate my website for those to be active again.

I gave the prototype bar to a member named leadsled. And he has completely ignored any text messages or messages through the forum regarding the crash bar. I am not going to hound him any longer. At this point I would need to start the entire project over from scratch and without owning a 5th gen... I am not able to do so.

I hate that. I am very sorry you got done like that. Thank you for all you did on this project. I am happy that I was able to snag one.

Hmmm last active here 5 days ago. What a piece of crap, ruining the whole thing for everyone who might have been interested. It’s always one guy who screws the crowd. Pretty sad.

I MIGHT be able to go to the welding shop and ask if they still have the sample bar i dropped off. But that was over 6 months ago. Chances are it got turned to scrap metal. Its a bunch of good ol boys too, so they might throw tools at me if I walk in there after all this time demanding my parts back. The prototype bar was built on good faith that i would buy a batch of them.

I have a brand-new-in-box front bar I bought from The_bald_eagle_machine last year, from his group buy. I bought it mistakenly thinking I could mount it with my 5th gen ZL1 front bumper conversion. This was entirely my fault, as I had never asked him before purchase if it would work.

So I have it sitting in my parts room in it's box. I opened it to take a look at it, and its a really nice part. Shame I can't use it. Keep an eye out in the classified section in the next month or so. Not sure what I am going to ask for it, as the shipping will likely be high, but I could be wrong.

Does it work with a 14/15 front bumper?
