strut clunk

have just installed Bilstein b6 front struts along with the front springs and every thing went right for a while but then once it finally broke in i start hearing a clunk sound and the only thing i haven't replaced was the top hat and maybe that could be it but everyone keeps saying check sway bar links but ill get to that but its just really annoying hearing that clunk ass sound over bumps and potholes if anyone knows id like to hear your opinion.

the springs are brand new oem, the strut is new as well the top hat is the only thing that i did not replace but the car is 9 years of age and the bearing could have gone bad but not too certain it very well could be the top hat as everything on the strut is brand new except for that
