2015 camaro LT Transmission

The LT's Autos was a 6 speed 6l80e Right? I want to Drop a 6.0 l96 in mine

I believe it is a 6L50 in the V6's..6L80's were in the SS, and 6L90 in the ZL1's..

You’d be better off getting a salvaged automatic SS, or one that has simply had an L99 that’s been worked on. In the case that you maybe get a shell as a cheaper option, go for the automatic SS shell.

You can probably just swap in a stock Camaro SS 6L80E, and then swap in whatever Gen V LS V8 engine you want. Honestly, even an LS2 doesn’t seem all that bad, although there’s better 6.0L LS engines for the money and features, like a stock L77 engine setup.

Nah, you wouldn't be able to just do that, you'd have to do some wiring harness swapping as well because the V6 and V8 wiring is different for the sensors and modules. So I have read on this forum. It just isn't that simple. The ones that have tried this might chime in.
