Knocking noise & intense vibration in shifter

2013 Chevy camaro 1LS There is an intense vibration in my shifter whilst I drive particularly in a low rpm and at low speeds, and it smooths out when I am above 30mph however it is still there to some degree. It initially started off at a vibration at around 5K rpms however it has worsened into this terrible knocking noise as seen in the video whenever the clutch is released. The camaro still drives at regular speed and the clutch does not seem to slip whatsoever. I have no idea what this could be, and I hope it's not the motor as I kept oil in it, any ideas? |

Well I can say it's not the motor, otherwise it would do it with the clutch in or out. I would be checking your throwout bearing, or flywheel..And the clutch discs..And since the car isn't moving, or is it in the vid, that would rule out the drive shaft if it isn't.

If it does it in neutral while pushing clutch in and out it will be isolated fom flywheel through input shaft of transmission.

It does it in neutral as well whenever I press down the clutch the sound deafens or completely goes away. What does that mean exactly? Am I safe to assume my transmission is fine and its an external component like throwout bearing or clutch or something?

When pushing on pedal in neutral, all rotation stops after the flywheel. It could still be something in the transmission input shaft area. Until it comes apart, it will not be able to accurately diagnose the issue. Happening in neutral does eliminate the rest of the drivetrain though.

Is the driveshaft bearing shot?
