Agreed. I wish the seat would go lower. I'm well over 6ft as well and would like a bit more headroom. I haven't tried driving with a helmet on, but I don't think it would be comfortable, as it is now my hair just brushes the top on wild hair days.

I think my driver seat can already touch the rear seat.

now if you could lower the seat 2 inches or so, you'd have lots of new camaro5 buddies!

This is what's funny about different body builds. I'm 6'4" but all my height is in my torso. I only have a 32" inseam, the same as my 5'8" father.
When I have the seat all the way back I strain to put the car into 3rd gear. I usually keep it 3" or so forward. The problem I have is having to lean my seat back so my head isn't rubbing the roof. This is why I had to get a non-sunroof car. When I'm in 'race' position, my head is pushing hard against the roof and I'm still not as forward and straight as I'd like to be.

I am 6'1" and have plenty of legroom, but I am always wanting my steering wheel to telescope closer to me. My arms and legs are proportioned, but sometimes I feel like I am reaching too far for the steering wheel.
I had the same issue and decided to add spacers to lower the steering column, 3 washers in front and 2 in the back both sides. This worked well although wheel cuts across the IP cluster view, with HUD I don't care and I am much more comfortable. For the front bolt I would recommend replacing longer ones, someone told me three treads should show above the nut and with 3 washers it is pretty much 0-1 thread.

There's 4 or 5 inches of space behind the front seats? Not on mine.

Cool mod 21!

My sales guy was a super tall and I giggled when I saw him squeeze in my car for the test drive. When he told me he owned a 2010 with a sunroof I thought he was joking at first.

I know this is a very old post, and I just bought a 2SS 2014 convertible ,and we are going to drill out the bolts so the seat reclines all the way back, but that bracket would be nice, where did you get it, as you didn’t really show how you put it in either..I’m a crippled army veteran, and I need the seat to go back more just get in to one now,if there’s a bracket forsale can you list the website thanks..
